this place closes early and isn't open on the weekends. but if you're in the area for lunch & feeling like latin american food (or coffee, which i dont drink but saw tons of people stopping in just for that) then give this place a chance. it is right off the 12th street oakland bart station when you walk out the stairs for the frank ogawa plaza. the prices are reasonable. i work nearby and there are always people stopping in for both breakfast and lunch. i ordered the fish tacos and loved the flavors! these are gigantic portions but it was just enough for me to wipe my whole plate clean. the beans & rice were good and i don't normally mind those much attn. i used to work in sf so i'm used to latin american food from pica pica kitchen and this place is way cheaper. it may not look as pretty and presentation isn't fancy, but this place def feels like the food was made with love. will def be coming back!
